For these patients, we offer optional IV or sedation dentistry administered by our trained sedation dentists in Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Greensboro, Biscoe, Dunn, and Sanford — Dr. Cross and Dr. Dunn, our board-certified oral surgeons, and Dr. Haralambakis, Dr. Costner, and Dr. Miller, our Sedation Dentists.
Essentially, sedation dentistry uses sedatives to help ease a dental patient’s anxieties during a dental procedure.
Depending on the level and type of sedatives used, patients will experience varying degrees of sedation — from a light calming sensation to a deep, unconscious sleep. Please find all necessary New Patient paperwork here. You may print these off at home and bring them in with you to your first appointment. If you will be filling out your paperwork in the office, please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your appointment.
