Dr. Varela is a dedicated and compassionate dentist with a unique background in service and care. After serving acting duty in the US Marine Corps, he discovered his passion in dental care, initially pursuing a career as a dental hygienist. Driven to expand his expertise, Dr Varela graduated from UNC School of Dentistry in 2019. He has since dedicated himself to sharpening his skills, particularly in oral surgery, to provide the best possible care for his patients. Known for his conservative approach and gentle touch, Dr Varela always prioritizes his patient’s best interest, enduring they receive the highest quality care in a comfortable environment.

Dr Varela volunteers at state-level dental events, usually in underserved areas to address the needs of those who have limited access to dental care. Outside of dentistry, Dr Varela enjoys spending time traveling with his wife, Monica and their sons, David and Daniel. He also loves soccer, watching science fiction movies, and attending outdoor concerts.
