Dr. Matt Imbrogno was born in Greensboro, North Carolina but grew up predominantly in Southern California. He received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, California and competed on the collegiate golf team.
Dr. Imbrogno received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his specialty training in periodontics and implant dentistry from the University of Louisville Graduate Periodontal Program in Louisville, Kentucky. During this three-year program, he received hands-on clinical training and patient care in gum grafting, periodontal disease, and dental implants. After completing his studies and receiving his Postgraduate certificate in Periodontics, he moved to Raleigh, North Carolina to be closer to his family and earned board certification from the American Board of Periodontology. He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Southern Academy of Periodontology, and the NC Society of Periodontists.
In Dr. Imbrogno’s free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and two dogs, golfing, traveling, working out, and baking.
